The 2024 Nissan Qashqai has received significant upgrades, reflecting its evolution since the first model rolled off the production line in Sunderland nearly 18 years ago. As the fastest-selling car in the UK, the 2024 Nissan Qashqai boasts a bold new design and advanced technology enhancements to elevate the driving experience. This latest version includes Nissan's unique e-POWER system, an electrified powertrain that maintains the essence of what consumers love about the Qashqai while adding more intuitive and convenient features. The updates required a fresh £30 million investment in the Sunderland plant, emphasizing Nissan's commitment to innovation and quality. The Sunderland plant, which also produces the Nissan JUKE and all-electric Nissan LEAF, supports 7,000 jobs and an additional 30,000 in the UK supply chain. Adam Pennick, Nissan's Vice President for Manufacturing in the UK, expressed pride in the Sunderland plant being the home of the 2024 Nissan Qashqai. The 2024 model arrives as part of Nissan's EV36Zero vision, aiming to integrate electric vehicle manufacturing and battery production powered by renewables. The third-generation Qashqai, launched in 2021, has sold over 350,000 units in Europe, with the 2024 model set to continue setting standards for crossovers with its enhanced features and advanced driver assistance systems, including Google built-in as part of the NissanConnect infotainment system.
