The 2027 Hyundai Elantra, known globally as the all-new Hyundai Avante, marks the eighth-generation redesign of Hyundai's best-selling compact sedan, arriving six years after the 2020 model and pushing well beyond its class in design, space, driving performance, and digital experience. Built on Hyundai's Art of Steel design language, the new Elantra blends precise lines with muscular surfaces, emphasizing pronounced fender volume for a confident, sporty stance. Up front, slim LED H-Edge Lighting daytime running lights shape an H motif at each corner, making the 2027 Hyundai Avante look wider and lower, while a future-forward grille adds dynamic presence. The side profile keeps a classic three-box silhouette with slim-neck outside mirrors, lift-up flush door handles, bold side skirts, and 18-inch five-spoke wheels, and the rear carries matching H-Edge taillamps, a vertical high-mount stop lamp, a spoiler-inspired trunk lid, and an aerodynamic diffuser.
This all-new Hyundai Elantra measures 4,765mm long, 1,855mm wide, and 1,425mm tall on a 2,750mm wheelbase, growing 55mm in length, 30mm in wheelbase, and 30mm in width over the previous generation to deliver near-midsize interior space. Inside, a driver-focused symmetrical cockpit wraps around a large central display, paired with a slim driver display positioned directly in the line of sight to cut distraction.
Under the hood, the 2027 Elantra offers a 2.0-liter gasoline engine making 149 HP, up 26 HP over the old 1.6, mated to an IVT transmission, alongside a Smartstream 1.6 hybrid with 157 HP combined system output. The Hyundai Elantra Hybrid adds Smart Regenerative Braking 3.0, a hybrid predictive control system for better real-world fuel economy, and a Stay Mode that powers climate and infotainment like an EV while parked.
